Published by Southtown Designs LLC
Southtown Designs LLC has been owner-led since 2015 and works with businesses in Texas and across the country. It publishes Texas Roofing Guide so homeowners can compare roofing contractors in the San Antonio area on what each company actually does, in one place. Southtown Designs does no roofing work, and the roofers listed here are independent businesses. A basic listing is free and stays free, and any featured or paid placement is clearly marked.
Why this directory exists
When hail comes through San Antonio, every homeowner on the street needs a roofer at the same time, and the search results fill up with ads, lead forms and crews nobody has heard of. We built Texas Roofing Guide so you can see the roofing contractors around you in one place and compare them on what they actually do.
Every company here is a real business with a Google listing in the area and reviews you can read. For each one we read its own website and mark the services it states: replacements, repairs, hail and storm work, insurance claim help, metal, tile and commercial roofs. If a company does not say, the listing says so rather than guess. We take out businesses that are filed under roofing but do something else, such as solar installers, gutter-only crews and supply yards.
Listings are free, and they stay free. Roofers can pay for a featured spot, and paid placements are always marked. We started with San Antonio and the towns around it, and Houston and Austin come next.
How listings are vetted
Every listing starts from the public business record for a roofing contractor in the San Antonio area. We keep companies that are open, have at least one Google review and were updated in the last year, and we merge duplicates that share a phone number or an address.
Then we read each company's own website. A listing shows a service, such as roof replacement, hail damage repair, metal roofing or help with an insurance claim, only when the company says it in its own words. Where its site says nothing, the listing says there is no information yet. Companies that turned out to sell solar panels, gutters only or building materials were taken out, so what is left is roofers.
Right now that is 478 roofing contractors in 9 Texas cities, last refreshed 2026-10-19.
Owners can claim their listing for free. Every claim is checked by a person: a real local business, a matching email domain or a call to the number on the Google listing. Paid placements are marked as featured, premium or best-of wherever they appear.
